I have worked for almost every safety company in Alberta and in my opinion, Kaizen is by the far the best safety company out there. They have the best safety culture, which is actually implemented, and the air trailers have the best layout I’ve seen anywhere. Kaizen Safety… WOW!!! What a fantastic first year your group has put together. I have known Mark Brown for 24 years, Grant Kelly for 20 years, and Phil McGeough for 18 years. If three individuals can have success in one year, I would hand pick these three. Their experiences come from all levels of the oil, gas, and industrial industries. Their North American and international experiences, from delivering safety programs to well control situations, have given them more knowledge than any other safety company I can think of. Grant designed, built and executed a program of training and development that would develop the leadership capabilities of our offshore supervisors. His program increased the effectiveness of our operating teams allowing them to safely control the increased volume of work. His program was very successful in achieving the required improvements in operating capability.

I have known Grant Kelly since 2005 when he worked with me as Country Manager for Niko Resources Ltd. in ensuring the safety of all contractors as well as the local villagers in Bangladesh. We were dealing with a significant gas well blowout in an extremely remote location. Grant’s attention to detail made him a highly effective team leader on the site as well as a very welcome liaison with the local village people who were living in close proximity to the blowout location. I have every confidence that Grant and his new organization will bring the same thorough and professional approach to their work as he has in the past. Besides a complete understanding of the details of a safe working environment, Grant also provides a unique perspective on the workplace culture that is essential for any safety program to succeed.

Grant Kelly has worked with Murphy Exploration & Production Co. in Malaysia operations as well as other areas.  Murphy has a great working relationship with Grant. He has a special ability to communicate across the company, from the well head to the board room, in a constructive way.  He worked directly with our field people in a young asset, helping us up the learning curve with safety culture development, safety leadership, and our competency program.  In my opinion, Grant’s unique communication and technical skills had significant effect on improving our HSE performance by encouraging the right behaviors and attitudes that underpin any successful operation.
